If the filling is worn out or missing, your tooth will become more sensitive. Similarly, if you experience sharp pain or pressure on your tooth, this could be a sign you need a replacement filling. The pain may come while you are eating or drinking, or it might happen when you aren’t using your teeth at all. Lastly, if you look in the mirror and see dark spots on the tooth that has a filling, you may need to have that filling replaced.
